World Premiere of "LANDSKER" by BBC National Orchestra of Wales

I’m honoured that BBC National Orchestra of Wales gave the world premiere of my new piece LANDKSER at St David’s Cathedral in Pembrokeshire on June 8th, conducted by the incredible Ryan Bancroft. This was a particularly special commission for me as I grew up very close to St David’s and the piece concerns itself with a very unique part of Pembrokeshire history: The Landsker Line - an invisible boundary that has historically divided English and Welsh speaking parts of the county, marked by a string of castles and forts built by invaders and defenders 800-1,000 years ago.
