New album project: The Book of Hours

This week I’ve been recording a new album project: The Book of Hours - a 55-minute song cycle written for two serial collaborators of mine - contralto Jess Dandy and pianist Dylan Perez. The text is taken from the English translations of Rilke’s ‘Book of Hours’, a collection of poems exploring our relationship to our inner worlds, our darkness, the sacred, and the world. The recording also features parts for accordion, percussion and countertenor, and I can’t wait to share more information with you.
