Read MoreWe’re honoured that our peace song for Ukraine, ‘All Now Went Still’, has been selected by The Nest Collective to be included in their live broadcast tonight as an offering to the nightingales - the national bird of Ukraine.
“Each year, for a short period in mid-April, a few thousand nightingales fly to southern UK from Africa. They can be heard in just a small number of special locations, taking up songful residence after dusk.”
The Next Collective’s special ‘Homecoming’ broadcast will capture this special moment and combine it with music and poetry.

Read MoreI am very excited to share the news that I will be starting work on recording and producing my debut album this year, generously supported by the PRS for Music Foundation Composer’s Fund. The album will feature new and existing pieces… more news to follow soon!
The project is particularly close to my heart as it combines my love of nature with my passion for improving and supporting mental health and emotional wellbeing through the arts.
Read MoreWriter/director Gareth Mattey and I are part of a global team working on a new intersex opera project, alongside a group of intersex activists, creatives and organisations.
A crucial part of the project is including intersex artists in the cast and on the creative team. In particular, we would like to hear from any intersex opera singers or musicians who may be interested in being a part of the project.
We would also very much welcome interest from intersex actors, dancers or singers/musicians from a non-opera background.
Please get in touch here or via email (amillsprojects@gmail.com) if you are interested to find out more, and we would be so grateful if you could share this call-out with anyone you think may be interested.
Thank you very much!
The project is supported by PRS Foundation and Help Musicians.
I’m really pleased to share a video of my recent piece 'Look How Brightly The Universe Shines' - a trio commissioned by cellist Clare O’Connell’s wonderful Behind The Mirror concert series, and played beautifully by Clare, David Le Page and Viv McLean.
Head to the ‘Watch’ section of my website to take a look.
The Le Page Trio will give the world premiere of my new trio, “Look How Brightly The Universe Shines”, on Wednesday 14th July.
